Mainframe Computers
These a have relatively less computing power and less expensive than the super computers. In mainframe computers, a number of users get connected to one computer using a number of terminals sharing, saving and retrieving data. (Figure 2.3 and 2.4) These are used in large scale businesses and in e-business. This type of computers are used even today in some large commercial institutions.
