Cloaky Jailbreak Tweak Allows You To Remove Unwanted items from Status Bar

Cloaky is a pretty powerful jailbreak tweak if you want to remove unnecessary items from iOS that you don’t plan to use.

It allows you to remove items from menus, Status bar, Control Center and even Activities, so that you can customize iOS exactly the way you want it.

So what does it mean? The jailbreak tweak allows you to remove the following items:

  • Status Bar: You can remove icons for various status indicators such as Bluetooth, VPN, Do Not Disturb etc. You can even remove time, Signal Strength and the Carrier logo from the Status bar. The changes are immediately applied in most cases, so you don’t need to respring the device. There is a toggle to enable Volt only battery, but it didn’t work for me.

  • Control Center: It lets you remove each section from the Control Center such as the Settings toggles, brightness control, playback controls, AirDrop and AirPlay options, quick launch items at the bottom. You can also remove the line separators from the Control Center.

  • Menu: It allows you to remove items like Cut, Copy, Paste and lots of other options from the pop-up menus.

  • Activity: It allows you to remove various activities from places like the Share menu option. So if you don’t use Twitter or Facebook, you can disable them so they don’t show up in Share menu option. It allows you to disable PhotoStream, AirPlay, Slide show etc from the Photos app, Gifting option from the App Store, Bookmark and ability to add Home screen icon in Safari. You have the option to override these settings at an app level. You can also disable activities that are specific to an app.

Here’s a look at the Control Center and the Share menu after removing some of the items using Cloaky:

Cloaky is available on Cydia for $1.5. While some aspect of the tweak don’t seem to be practical, Cloaky is a pretty powerful tweak, and lets you remove unwanted items from iOS.Let me know what you think of the tweak in the comments.
